Summaries in Examo
Recorded in Examo with sample content. This shows the ai summary generator workflow.

From spoken explanation to study note

Example with sample content.

Sample lesson excerpt

Water leaving a plant through its leaves helps pull more water upward from the roots through the xylem.

Structured note

Transpiration is water loss from leaves. Evaporation creates tension that helps draw water through the xylem from roots to leaves.

Test the connection: why might a higher temperature increase the rate of transpiration?

Where it livesOne summary per week or section, kept in your course.A chat thread you keep track of yourself.
Long booksExamo finds a textbook's chapters and lets you match them to your course weeks. You decide how to split a long book and where each part goes.
LecturesRecord in Examo, or upload audio and video files up to 1 GB.You usually prepare a transcript or file first.
What comes nextPractice questions, flashcards, mind maps and Loki in the same course. Each new task starts from a new prompt.

Examo as it works today. General AI chat apps differ, and many can do more with careful prompts.

Good to know

  • The video must be accessible to Examo. A private, removed or restricted video may not be readable.
  • Check technical terms, numbers and examples against the video; AI summaries can make mistakes.

Questions

How do I turn a YouTube video into notes?

Open Add content in your Examo course, select YouTube and paste the video link. Choose its section and Examo prepares a structured summary.

Is this a YouTube summarizer or a transcript?

It is a study-summary workflow: video material Examo can access is organised into structured notes. It is not a promise of a verbatim transcript.

Can I generate flashcards from the video?

Yes. Once the summary is ready, use that prepared material to generate flashcards or questions within your allowance.

What if Examo cannot read the link?

Check the URL and that the video is available. If you have a recording or transcript you are allowed to use, add that instead.
