A fact in the reading becomes an application question

Example with sample content.

Sample PDF concept

When demand is inelastic, quantity demanded changes proportionally less than price.

Practice question

A price rises by 10% and quantity demanded falls by 4%. Calculate the price elasticity of demand and explain what this suggests about total revenue.

Check: elasticity is −0.4, so demand is inelastic. Total revenue rises because the price increase outweighs the proportional fall in quantity.

Exam patternsReads how past questions are framed and which keep coming up, then writes new ones the same way.Matches a style only if you describe it in your prompt.

Examo as it works today. General AI chat apps differ, and many can do more with careful prompts.

Good to know

  • Questions are made section by section, so add material to a section before practising it.
  • AI marking can be wrong. Check important marks against your course's own mark scheme.
  • Coding questions are written answers marked against a rubric; the code is not run.
  • Exam patterns show what past papers had in common. They do not predict the questions on your exam.

Plans

Free includes practice questions within a monthly allowance and up to 5 past papers for exam patterns. Pro raises the limits, takes more past papers and lets you share a mock exam by link. Plans in the FAQ.

Questions

How do I make a quiz from a PDF?

Add the PDF pages to a course section and select Practice questions. Examo prepares the summary foundation, then uses it to generate your selected question formats.

Do I have to supply a mock exam?

No. Choose manual generation to select question types yourself. A mock exam is an optional way to guide the structure and style.

Can I choose MCQ and other question types?

Yes. The manual Practice questions setup lets you choose supported formats, including MCQ, MRQ and written questions.

Is this the same as configuring an exam?

No. Creating practice questions saves them in the section. Configure an exam selects from questions that already exist.
